Alexios, Stevie and Lygan are on doors. Alexios, Morganna and Xrith are listeners.
Xrith starts reciting poetry, granting a +1 to attacks.
We enter TA-MEKH and do not hear sounds beyond the doors. We are in the chamber with TWO SILVER SCONCES. They are just sitting on the floor. Uuto tries to open the lock.
We are surprised.
There is a mass of huge red worms arriving from the west and we see four of their heads popping in around the corner. They intend to return from whence they came.
We let them leave. There are probably 10 of these worms.
We search the walls looking for secret doors but the table is made of ash wood. Finding nothing, we go back down the other hall.
Find Traps is cast by Oswald.
We find the threads of a curtain or tapestry hanging down on the left and right sides of the walls. They barely conceal the rooms beyond. There is also a door made of wood straight to the south.
We see the room where we found coins.
We are not surprised. On the left side is Lygan and sees a great hall beyond with 3 statues. There are 4 Were-Boars that are surprised to see us. They are in melee already. We have two segments of surprise.
Must hit an AC 6. Xrith hits for 18 damage. Alexios hits for 4, Lygan hits for 5 damage. 3 of them are greatly wounded.
Xrith does 33 damage with another backstab on the second round of surprise, decapitating one.
They are enraged and fly into a fury!
Xrith hits for 6, Alexios does 6, Omaz hits for 5, others hit. None are dead.
Alexios and Desmond are the targets. Lygan shouts out “Dont let them bite you!”.
Prayer goes off. Desmond is hit by a claw for 3 damage.
Xrith does 10 damage with his second attack. The two remaining are heavily wounded. Oswald charges.
Xrith does 14 damage, Stevie does 6 damage. They start shouting in pain and alarm as we hack them down!
We proceed into the chambers where the Boars had resided. There are some statues, 3 of them and an empty base. There is unidentifiable collection of threads that spans the eastern wall. They are unidentifiable. The statues are of Elves. They are made of stone. Xrith will study the statues.
There is Elvish written on the base.

It looks like carefully chiseled off from the base on the fourth one. We go back into the hallway and listen at the door.
We hear nothing at the door.
Find Traps is expired. We did a search of this room but found nothing of note. Omaz is the only Dwarf and can make out the faint remnants. He cannot read it and we cannot take a rubbing.
Beyond the door is a hallway. It goes for 50' before opening to a room. The walls are just cut through stone. This chamber opens to a wide area with a mosaic on the east and west walls. A passage continues across the room.
The left mosaic depicts an orange sunrise with moon and sun. On the other is a purple glowed sunset. Both are made using colored shells. Heavenly bodies are in the sky. There is some Elvish written above the walkway.

Xrith adds to his poetry.
We head south and must Save Versus Spells. at -2. Oswald, Xrith, Omaz, Lygan, Ekkor are here. As is Uuto.
Desmond and others have disappeared.
There was no trap to be found. They disappeared after we crossed the threshhold of the room. Our companions faded to a deep blue and then faded from existence.
We start thoroughly searching the room with the mosaics. We find that on the western wall with the sunset, there are…Actually on the eastern side with sunrise, on the sunset, there are 8 extra Kaguyas, 1 Jaguas and another moon. On the east wall, clearly seen by Xrith, is a Tree without a shadow. A secret door opens…revealing stairs.
We realize that there are different moons in phases and they are 7 extra. We see a pool with extra liquid with an extra bench. This is in a room at the bottom of the stairs. The pool has been carved with sea horses there are no exits in the room. There are some benches and a wooden thick lounge bed. There is also a flat table. We thoroughly search and find nothing in addition.
There are two magic pools in this place, as told by an NPC.
We rest for a turn. Lygan strips and bathes in the pool…volunteering. Nothing happens. It takes 2 turns. He also drinks the water.
We will continue south…we climb back up the staircase. The secret door closes softly and quietly behind us. The hallway is long and endless.
Find Traps is cast again.
We proceed down the hallway. It curves to the right. We listen at the door and Xrith, along with Lygan and Ekkor will open the door.
We open the door after one failed attempt. The door opens to the smell of dry air, it rushes out in a puff as we open the door. All along the walls are alcoves containing crude burials along the walls. There is an 8' tall statue, of a Salt Elf in Alabaster. The walls have dugout cubbies with dead bodies of Elvish skeletons and random treasures.
The Salt Elves are the oldest race of elves that can breathe underwater. They mostly live underwater. His hands are outstretched freeing butterflies. We do not see any traps.
There is a single letter Q at the base of the statue. The butterflies are depicted ingeniously. The stone is alabaster and Omaz and Xrith searches. Xrith searches for traps, 45% chance. We do not notice anything extra for the statues.
Oswald does not see any traps in the right hand but does see a trap on the far door, it is on the handle. Omaz checks to see if the statue rotates on its base but it doesnt move. There is some device hidden between two pieces of wood in the door, like a capsule or needle.
We hear nothing at the door and fail to open the north east door. We get it on the second attempt. It is opened…
There are 6 urns around a wooden chest. There is a statue of a fruit tree, depicting in stone, 14' talls. This is an annex chamber.
There are no traps detected and we must rest for one turn.
We have been here for 3 hours. The chest is just latched and there is no lock.
Omaz opens the lid. He sees a trowel, a watering can and broken things. Xrith sees that the tree is a Papaya tree. The clay pot contains a metal filament, strong metal reinforcing the pottery. The three pots are all like this. They are the nicest he has seen.
The broken one is the only one that has a scent to it. Omaz shakes one of the pots, that they are all opened. Four clay pots are empty.
We move back to the north west door, we will listen and then try to open the door.
We hear nothing and burst inside. This room looks similar. We see 11 dark black figures. Men composed of dark fabrics, slightly glowing yellow eyes. They are hunched around a sarcophagus.
We are not surprised!
The 11 creatures charge the 3 door openers. Xrith fails his poison save and is at -2 to attack.
Xrith does 10 damage, Ekkor does 6, Lygan does 4. Omaz does 3 damage. They get to us with their charge. 11 against the three door openers.
5 attacks against Xrith AC 2/3. They will hit him on an 11. The black die is a bite. Two claws hit, negates Stoneskin.
1 claw hits for 4 damage 4 absorbed by Phantom Armor. Another claw hits and he takes 4 damage. Xrith is paralyzed!
One claw hits Lygan and must save. He fails and is paralyzed. Ekkor is hit by one claw for 2 damage and he fails, is also paralyzed.
Lygan, Ekkor and Xrith are paralyzed. Omaz and Oswald are now being attacked. Uuto is behind the party.
4 attacks on Omaz. He is hit on a 12. He must save twice against paralyzation. Omaz failed his first save and is also paralyzed. He took 7 damage.
3 attacks on Oswald, he has AC 0. One bite hits for 5 damage, his Phantom Armor is gone. There are 4 left attacking him. He takes another 6 damage and is paralyzed.
Uuto has AC 7 and 3 hits on him. He fails all three saves and takes 13 damage. He also drops!
WE HAVE A TPK!
To the other party.
Lucien is standing but cannot see a thing. He feels as though he is in a dungeon but does not know how much time has passed.
He calls out and hears no answer. He pulls out a scroll of Dancing Light, but cannot read it in the dark. He starts cautiously moving forward with his hands out. He walks 20' and finds wall going to the left, where he finds a corner. He feels all around. He feels many small things on the wall, like an inch to half an inch in size. Hard and brittle, dry, and they cover the wall. Kind of like scales on the wall.
He examines for a moment and some have grooves in them. They feel like shells. He hears something skitter along the floor, maybe 10-20' away from him in the dark. He continues feeling through the wall and it goes for 30' before he gets to another corner. He is being cautious to the things skittering. The wall gets to a point in the corner, rather than an elbow. It goes for 80' until he gets to an elbow corner. He traces it back around.
He is surprised on a 1-3, he is surprised for 3 segments. There is no surprise on the other side.
Suddenly there is a great eruption of blue glowing smoke and light manifesting around him. There are beings of light raising their Katanas on Lucien. He is fully surrounded!
He is attacked at -4 for being invisible. He has Phantom Armor so AC 3/3 and the katanas take a -2. He has a -1 or 0 due to a shield. He is at a total of -7 with his forcefield, so actually -4 due to Dex bonus being lost.
He is hit once for 9 points of damage. He loses Phantom Armor and takes 4 damage. His AC 7/9. He takes another hit from the front and two hits from the side for 4, 7 and 1 damage, 14 total. He takes another hit from the rear, for 2 points. Three hits for 4 damage, puts him at -1 hitpoints. LUCIEN DROPS!
Morganna illuminates the mosaic room where she was last standing. She does not see any bodies. The ceiling is 15' and she casts a Fly spell on herself.
Morganna hovers and tries to exit the dungeon. She listens at the door as she goes. She opens the door and is invisible. She scratches a message.
“MORGANNA WAS HERE HEADING OUT OF DUNGEON”. She marks it in the main room.
She makes it to the surface and believes that between one and three days has passed.
Morganna checks for her horse. The horses are all still here…
She waits for two movement points and hides. Nobody else shows up so she rides hard for Heshib.
Morganna makes it to Heshib and stays the evening. Nobody else makes it in the morning. She changes her spells up to cast invisibility then makes her horse invisible and rides hard for Goldleaf.
She makes it to Goldleaf and the weather is clear.
Jacob and Josalyn are heading to Heshib now with plenty of arrows. Josalyn has cold iron.
Voltendo is also heading out and Yohan is going. Yohan has a Light Warhorse.
On this day in the evening, Yohan, Voltendo and Elithra joins up and the weather is cloudy.
They are leaving on the 28th.
Some of them are going out on Light Warhorses. Yohan has the Rod of Alertness.
Voltendo has a Paladin mount.
Hippogriff party headed up further.
Ground Party consists of:
The ground party is not surprised but the 4 Ogres are surprised. They avoid them.
They make it to Heshib and Voltendo force marches. He will need to rest on this day. It is raining on the morning.
They head out, all together with Voltendo.
His sword is glowing and he can see he is in the Mosaic room. He sees that there are fewer Kaguya Moons on the wall.
He finds the tree symbol that has no shadow. He also finds Morganna's note and adds:
“DESMOND WAS HERE. LEAVING DUNGEON.”
He is going to head to Heshib. He notices that Morganna's horse is missing. He is going to leave two rations specifically for each horse. He leaves 18 rations on each horse and then will head back.
He is not surprised.
He stumbles across the ruins of a building, it is about 1/3rd of a mile away. He can see stone walls rising above the 8' tall grass.
He sees the stone ruins sticking up from the grass and nothing else as he maps the location for 10 minutes.
He bypasses and continues on his way.
He will force march to Heshib in the evening and arrives.
The main party is camping in the plains.
It is heavy raining in the morning and in the evening it is still raining.
The party splits off from Voltendo to move quickly and they are traveling in the rain.
Desmond spends the day in Heshib trying to figure out where Morganna went. He finds that they went in the direction of Ta-Mekh. He heads after them post-haste. He will get somewhere between Reir'al and will camp outside. He moves 3 movement points and sets up camp.
They arrive at Ta-Mekh.
Door Openers are Jacob, Josalyn and Yohan.
They get through the steel door with the room and the sconces. They make it to the main room with the magical teleport.
Using the Rod of Alertness, there is general magic in the room and some of the moons of Kaguya also have magic. They do not go into the room.
Josalyn casts Find Traps and finds none. She will then cast Dispel Magic on the room. Josalyn successfully dispels the magic. The ambient magic on the room is gone, but the magic on the moons remains.
At least Alexios and Stevie are still missing as is the rest of the party. Yohan cannot track anything in the dungeon in these circumstances.
They continue onward to the south.
They make it to the door around the bend. Yohan, Jacob and Josalyn will listen at the door.
Yohan hears a bone break. He makes a motion of hearing something and points at the door. Josalyn casts Protection From Evil 10' radius and uses Cold Iron.
They open the door. It fails to open twice but get it on the third try…
When they come inside, they see that there 30 odd floating sphere creatures about 2.5' in diameter, there are two semi muscular arms sticking out. They have picked up something from the ground and were chittering to each other. They were looking at the door. Most of their mouths are hanging open with drool.
They turn their eyes and listen and Jacob and Yohan must make reaction rolls. Yohan however, does better.
Most of them become mad and annoyed and throwing small refuse at Jacob. Their eyes grow wide at Yohan and stop throwing things. They look undecided.
Yohan holds out the wine and they hover backward but do not accept the wine. They are foaming and drooling, looking confused. Yohan tells them to take the gift of wine.
He will get another Reaction Roll…which fails.
They are around the statue area. The creatures hover over rapidly. There are 31 of them and they all have stubby arms.
They must hit AC 4 and Korrak misses. Yohan destroys one and it explodes! Two of them take 1 point of damage from the explosion as does Yohan. Another one explodes, dealing another 1 point of damage. 2 of them are dead. Yohan hit a total of 5.
All of them explode as he hits them, Yohan takes another 12 damage. The other ones will be exploding as well. Jacob also takes 12 damage. There is a loud bang of all 31 creatures. Then the room is empty.
Jacob is at -4 AC. Josalyn casts Cure Light Wounds on Jacob. Oswald is healed for 1 hitpoint.
They will begin searching the area and Find Traps is still going. They scan the whole room for traps.
They find the mechanical trap on the door to the west…then the door opens from the north west.
They are not surprised.
Around the corner come 11 Undead Creatures (Ghasts). The spell of Protection From Evil 10' radius is cast with cold iron so it will effect Ghasts.
They go around the other side of the statues at the end of their turn. They have 80% cover, granting a +7 to their AC. They have a -3 AC.
All of the undead leave through the east door.
They go into the room that they came out of and open the door. There is a mural on the wall that is carved and four open sarcophagi. There are wall burials and the room is littered with bones. All of the possessions of our characters are here. All of the possessions are here.
Xrith, Omaz, Oswald, Lygan, Ekkor and Uuto's stuff remains behind. Besides all of the possessions.
Magic radiates from a portion of the mural on the western wall. It is coming from behind the mural, a couple feet. There are two pinholes.
They can match up the bones with people based on the armor. They put them in the bag of holding.
Yohan can see a small panel about 8“ wide. They use the thieves tools to stick in the holes, pinholes in the wall. All of the holes have a button and a mechanism moves but nothing happens other than the noise. There are 3 holes. He pushes all three simultaneously and nothing happens. He tries different combos and nothing happens.
They get out before the spell expires and make it to the surface.
The party rejoins with Voltendo.
Jacob informs Voltendo that they have the bones of half the party. Voltendo thinks they can handle Ghasts but he cannot, even with Protection From Evil.
Yohan gives Jacob the Bag of Holding and they will fly back to Macetor. They are camping in the Hills, away from the dungeon.
It stops raining in the evening but is Cloudy. Desmond has not arrived yet.
They have the Rod of Alertness and are not surprised.
They see a creature searching over the grass, like a bee. It goes away.
Another encounter…
There is no surprise and no encounter.
Desmond has an encounter…
They are not surprised. Desmond is awoken by his horse whinying by 3 Giant Weasels!
Desmond deflects the Giant Weasel as they charge. Desmond can counter attack. This is a regular Warhorse and the Weasels have AC 7.
His Warhorse does not panic but is being attacked by the Giant Weasels. He is on his horse.
The Weasels attack. There are two on Desmond and one on the Horse.
The Giant Weasel latches onto the horse and it takes 10 damage. It has 1 hitpoint left. Desmond is killed by the Giant Weasel!
Desmond has not used Divine Intervention and so he uses it this time…NOTHING HAPPENS…
We discuss having Divine Intervention, many of us try, those of us in the fight with the Ghasts and Desmond, Omaz, etc. None of us succeed.
Jacob and Josalyn are headed toward Zelaq and Darian to see about Raise Dead possibilities. They are both about 4,500 people there is a chance that they could cast Regeneration…
They vote against Zelaq and Darian so Jacob will head to Macetor. They will make it to the village called [something].
No settlements found in the new areas.
They make it to the village.
They will force march to Macetor. The weather is cloudy. They arrive without issue.
It is in the evening. They check for Clerics with Regenerate and Raise Dead.
He must roll a Reaction Roll and gets a perfect roll! He finds one at the Temple of Venha. Two regenerations and raise deads available!
Base cost is 20,500 gp per character unless they are below level 4.
Lygan will be raised first. He puts up his full plate. The Regeneration takes over one full hour and his corpse regrows. The Raise Dead can be cast.
He passes and is now in debt for 20,500 gp.
Ekkor will be raised next. He will put up some jewelry, 15,000 gp worth. Ekkor is regenerated over the course of 50 minutes.
Ekkor is raised and is at 7 CON.
Oswald is next but he is DEAD! He failed his Raise Dead.
RIP OSWALD!
